Each procedure requires a different amount of time generally ranging from a few minutes to 30 minutes. Some exams may take longer than 30 minutes.
For most exams in our diagnostic laboratory, you can eat/drink and take medicines prior to having your exam. However, the preparation instructions for your procedure will be explained by your physician or his/her staff when your exam is scheduled.
